A message from Barbara Horn:

Dear Friends,

This email has three purposes:

1) to introduce you to an amazing 9/11 traveling memorial in its final stages of design

2) to tell you about my 9/11 Responder friend who, through his longing to educate and inspire people around the country, has created this memorial

3) to ask for your financial contributions for this effort, especially for funds needed to cover the memorial board members upcoming trips to finalize the exhibit’s design

Search and Rescue Responder Erick Robertson and his dog Porkchop were part of the 9/11 WTC Rescue and Recovery Effort.  It's the time Erick has spent since the Recovery Effort, speaking to small and large groups around the country about his experiences, that's inspired him to create the 9/11 Traveling Memorial Exhibit. Four trailers are being built to welcome visitors to learn, in an interactive, hands-on way, what happened September 11th, 2001, what took place during the nine-month Rescue and Recovery effort that followed the attacks and what is the ongoing impact of the attacks on responders and survivors.  The exhibit is committed to visiting the more than one thousand U.S. cities with 9/11 Memorials made from WTC Steel. As word spreads, hundreds of invites from other locations are pouring in, including the USS Midway in San Diego, the New England Patriots Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, and many Veterans Memorials. Great things are happening every day. It is hoped that this exhibit will motivate people to come to New York to see first-hand the National September 11 Memorial and Museum along with other important tributes.

This powerful traveling memorial is in the final stages of becoming a reality because of the tremendous support it has been blessed with so far. Construction is to begin in early 2020; the 9/11 Traveling Memorial Exhibit will be making its debut appearance in the summer of 2020.

On Nov 3rd, Erick and several Board members need to make a series of trips across the country to approve the final design and technical aspects of the Traveling Memorial. Aside from ongoing fundraising for building the exhibit trailers, donations are being sought to support the 2019 end of year activities and foundation costs that are key to making this incredible memorial happen. The goal is to raise a base amount of $10,000.  Of course, Erick and the Board welcome any and all support and sponsorship beyond this current fundraising goal.

Your financial contributions can be made through the 9/11 Traveling Memorial Exhibit website (info below) or by contacting Erick directly via email or phone:
